Stephanie Bressler
Stephanie Bressler worked for more than ten years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She earned a Master of Public Administration before leaving government service to complete a Ph.D. in Political Science at Pennsylvania State University. Her goal was to acquire a better understanding of the political process to help underrepresented groups gain access to the political system. She was tenured at King’s College where she taught Political Science and helped establish the Women’s Studies Program and the Public Policy Institute. She also taught at Cal Poly University and the University of Scranton before leaving higher education to return to community service. She directed revitalization, literacy, English as Second Language and citizenship programs at United Neighborhood Centers. She continues to advocate for immigrant rights and to promote more women in public service.
