Robert S. and Marilyn A. Weiss Hall

The nearly 90,000 square-foot center for workforce development, applied research and outreach, located on the 300 block of Madison Avenue, was dedicated Sept. 3, 2025.
The four-story building includes state-of-the-art specialized laboratories, training and education spaces and will be home to two academic departments, student health and wellness.

Students and faculty members representing The University of Scranton had a strong showing March 21 at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Region 1 and 2 Student Activities Conference, hosted at Rowan University in New Jersey. Scranton teams won first place in two of the six competitions (Mini Pupper and MicroMouse). Additionally, Alfred Kumi-Atiemo Jr. ’26, an electrical engineering major from Stroudsburg, placed third in the individual Brown Bag event. The competitions tasked students with designing and programming robots to perform tasks including pulling a rope and escaping a maze. Scranton Teams Win Multiple Top Honors at IEEE Conference
