Typesetting/Desktop Publishing
You Design
Publications intended to be print-ready should be prepared in Microsoft Publisher or in Adobe InDesign with all fonts and links packaged, and with bleeds extended at least 1/8” beyond final trims. If the publication will be printed on a single sheet of paper, reader spreads are sufficient; if the publication will require multiple sheets of paper, printer spreads should be prepared.
Projects that require changes at the Print Shop before printing will incur labor expenses at the rates specified on the Basic Price lists of Standard Products schedule.
We Design
Copy being submitted for design by the Print Shop should be submitted in Microsoft Word with minimal formatting – all formatting must be removed before the publication is re-formatted in Adobe InDesign. As described in Advance Planning, creative proofs will be prepared for customer review and approval prior to printing. Sufficient time should be planned.
Projects that require design assistance at the Print Shop before printing will incur labor expenses at the rates described on the Basic Price lists of Standard Products schedule.
