Health:Parent Relations

Late nights studying, inadequate rest and the lack of a well balanced diet can bring your student's immune system down, especially during season changes.

To help students stay healthy, Student Health Services are offering flu shots by appointment.
Beyond getting a flu shot, it's also important that you remind your student of these actions that can help prevent sickness:

  • Wash hands frequently
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, remember to use your sleeve or a tissue
  • Eat healthy and exercise
  • When sick, stay away from others
  • If you have a fever, you should stay home until you are fever -free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications
  • Stay hydrated/drink lots of fluids
