The University of Scranton softball team is currently enjoying its most prolific run of success in the program’s 36-year history. The Royals have won 98 games since 2008, the most in a five-year span in school history. Four times they qualified for the Landmark Conference playoffs during that time, including in 2008, when they won a school-record 27 games.

Scranton annually plays a schedule of approximately 30-35 games, including a yearly spring break trip to play competition from around the nation. In 2012, the Royals played six games in Clearmont, Fla. to kick off their season.

In the past five seasons, 16 players have earned all-conference honors while one, Annie Zeleniak (’11), earned all-region honors. The Royals have also been successful in the classroom, as three players have earned prestigious Academic All-American honors, including 2012 graduate Kelly Zaccheo.

Your gift supports uniform and equipment purchases, travel and meal expenses, and the spring break trip, as well as helping the Royals continue their current run of unprecedented success.

”Our success would not be possible without the charitable support of so many,” said head coach Mia Collarini. “Your gift will help fund our spring break trip, gear purchases, travel and meal expenses, recruiting, and training upgrades as we continue our quest for a Landmark Conference Championship on a yearly basis.”
