Clearances for Education Majors
Documents
Education majors need several clearances in order to complete observation hours and student teaching hours in a school. Below are the five documents that are required. Click on the links to begin the application process.
- Act 114 - FBI Fingerprinting Clearance - use code 1KG6RT
- Act 34 - Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- Act 151 - Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Act 24 of 2011
- Tuberculosis test - from private physician or Student Health Services
Note: Clearances remain valid for one year from the date on the document.

Once you have obtained your clearances, you will need to upload them to TaskStream, an electronic portfolio system.
