Databases and Journals
Databases include indexes that allow you to search for journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, and abstracts. Some of our databases are full-text, while others will link you to a full-text article in another source. Still other databases contain encyclopedic information or specific business, legal, or medical information. You may access the databases remotely through the Library tab in the My.Scranton portal. If you know the specific database you need, use the A-Z List of Databases. If you are not sure, choose Databases by Subject.
Journals and other periodicals (including magazines and newspapers) can be searched by title or subject. You will find links to our online subscriptions, or citations giving you locations of print or microfilm copies of the titles not available online.
