Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nathawut Suksomanat, and I am here at The University of Scranton to pursue my MBA in Operations Management. I completed my Industrial Engineering degree at Kasetsart University, one of the top three engineering schools in Thailand. Afterwards, I worked for a few companies as a process engineer and then became an assistant manager at another firm. I have earnestly studied English for only a year in Thailand before I came here because we always use Thai in our country.
Before I came here, I asked myself many questions because it was my first time living outside Thailand. For instance, how many tests would I have to take while studying abroad? What should I bring to stay there for 2.5 years? How much budget should I prepare? How can I communicate with others because my English is not so good? I have tried my best and was accepted at the University, and received a 4.00 CGPA for last three semesters. Thus, I would encourage all of you who are reading this article that you can succeed in what you wish, but you have to believe in yourself first. As the proverb says: “If you do not build your dream, someone will hire you to build theirs.”
Last but not least, my success would not be possible without The University of Scranton, Kania School of Management, and the International Office here to help me whenever I need it. I actually had a lot of acceptance letters from many schools in both U.S. and U.K., but I picked this university instead. I am glad I made this decision because looking back, I believe I have made the right choice. As the quote of this school “Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live.” I do love being at The University.
