Variable Information
Variable information can be printed on or incorporated within the printing of letters, brochures, etc., at the additional cost of setting up the program, often as little as $15. All that is required is an Excel-type spreadsheet of the variable data and instructions about where and how to display the varying information on each document produced, functioning similar to, but more robustly than, the Word Mail Merge function.
Envelopes can be addressed, letters can have individualized inside addresses and salutations, varying blocks of information and text can vary from letter to letter.
We recommend that you call the Copy Center and talk about what you plan to do and the Due Dates/Deadlines to get it done. Output-ready files can be sent attached to an e-mail with all the necessary instructions and information to Printing@Scranton.edu.
