Major: I am a Psychology major with a minor in Theatre and a Human Development concentration.
Year: I am currently a senior, and will be graduating in June 2012.
Hometown: I was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia.
Activities: I am a member of the Psychology Club, and the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. Last semester, I was nominated as President of Psi Chi at the University of Scranton for the 2011-2012 school year. I am also an active participant of the University of Scranton Players, and a member of the Players’ Council as Head of Personnel. I am currently completing my practicum at a mental-health facility in Scranton. This semester, I am serving as a teaching assistant for Career Development and the TA Seminar, as well as conducting research with Dr. Nolan.
Future Plans: I am currently applying to several programs in School Psychology. My hope is to earn my Master’s degree first, and then go on to obtain my Ph.D.
Research: My involvement in research began in the Spring of 2011 as a volunteer. My duties consisted of data collection for two hours a week for Dr. Nolan’s study of the effects of the IAT on explicit racism. This semester, I am continuing my work on the study as Dr. Nolan’s research assistant.
