President's Business Council

What is the President's Business Council?

Celebrating over 20 Years!

The President’s Business Council (PBC) was formed in 2001 by the University and a prominent group of alumni and friends with the purpose of advancing the mission of the University. The PBC is committed to strengthening the Scranton network in the business sectors and to providing mentoring, internship and career support for current students and meaningful engagement opportunities for alumni, parents and friends. PBC Membership is open to interested alumni and friends who can help in accomplishing its objectives.

At the PBC’s Annual Award Dinner, an honoree is presented with the University’s President’s Medal, which recognizes individuals who have achieved excellence in their fields and who have demonstrated extraordinary compassion for others. Proceeds from the dinner go directly to the Presidential Scholarship Endowment Fund, which supports merit-based, full-tuition scholarships for talented students who will become leaders of vision and integrity.

Opportunities for Impact

Our University of Scranton network remains strong as it continues to go. Most of our alumni have benefited from the support of a fellow Royal at some point in their lives, usually through scholarships, internships and career opportunities, or mentoring experiences. The President's Business Council seeks to help foster these important connections, giving you an easy way to make a memorable impact on Scranton students.
