Annette Kalwaytis Retires

At the end of May 2011, Annette Kalwaytis, Special Collections assistant, retired.  Annette began working here in 1982 as an evening circulation clerk. In 1985, she became circulation coordinator. During her time in the circulation department, she worked on her education,
Annette Kalwaytis standing with Narda Tafuri
completing an associate's degree in 1987 and her bachelor's degree in 1990. For her dedication and involvement as a Dexter Hanley student, she received the National Alumni Award for Loyalty and Service at her graduation in 1990.  Annette was awarded her master's degree in human resourced administration on 1992.

In June of 2008, Annette assumed her current position of special collections assistant.  Throughout her time at the University, Annette has been active and supportive of University committees, groups and activities. She excelled at fund-raising activities, working for the annual fund and on various Friends of the Library committees, including Leaves of Class, Distinguished Author sponsors and the book sale (of course, opportunities for her to continue these activities will remain available). Her pride in being an alumna of the University is displayed on her license plate and in her support of any activity to which she can contribute. We would like to thank her for her years of service and wish her well in her retirement.
