New Librarian Joins Staff

Clara Hudson accepted a full-time position as Evening/Weekend Public Service Librarian in the Weinberg Memorial Library as of July 7, 2003. She has been a member of the reference department as part-time staff since Fall 2000. Clara holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Arts in History, and a teaching certificate in secondary education (social studies) from Wilkes University.
 
Prior to joining the Weinberg Library full-time Clara was the Director of the Mill Memorial Library in Nanticoke.
 
In addition to reference, public service, and Information Literacy she will serve as the library faculty liaison for the Health Administration and Human Resources, Sociology/Criminal Justice, and History Departments.
 
Clara currently is a member of the Continuing Education Committee for the Northeast Pennsylvania Library Network and is Vice Chair for the Northeast Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association. She will be continuing studies toward a graduate degree in history at the University of Scranton. Her outside interests include collecting unusual edition books, in particular literature for young adults and children's book illustration.
