Events & Exhibits - Fall 2004

Horror Fiction Event

Weinberg Library is honored to host an exhibit of Arkham House books from the Edward Leahy collection. Arkham House has been the leading small press publisher in the field of fantasy, horror and weird fiction (and more recently, science fiction) for more than 60 years. The company was originally founded in 1939 by August Derleth and Donald Wandrei to preserve and publish the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Arkham House has subsequently grown to publish many important fantasy, horror and weird fiction authors, such as Clark Ashton Smith and Ray Bradbury. The exhibit will run from October 16 through February 27, 2005. A reception is planned.
