Services & Policies - Fall 2002

New Services for Distance Learners

The Weinberg Memorial Library now offers special library services to University of Scranton students who are currently enrolled in completely web-based courses offered through the University's Dexter Hanley College. These distance students may request Library materials (books and journal articles) be sent to them at home by using Document Delivery, Interlibrary Loan (ILL), or PALCI online request forms.

For a complete explanation of the services and resources available, please visit the two new web pages designed by Linda Neyer, Evening Public Services Coordinator and Acting Distance Learning Library Services Coordinator. On the Web, simply go the Library's web page (www.scranton.edu/library) and under "News & Events" click on the link for either "About the Library" or "What's New" and look for the description of "Distance Education." From this point, you may either view the complete explanation of the services and resources available, "Distance Learning Library Information and Policies" or view a list of quick links to these services and resources, "Distance Learning Services."

Remember please that these services are only for students currently enrolled in a completely web-based course. The names of individuals requesting these services are checked against those enrolled in the eligible courses. If you have any questions about services available and eligibility, please stop by the Reference Desk or call 941-4000.
