Library Display Commemorates Centennial of 1902 Anthracite Miners' Strike
- The Heritage Room will host an exhibit titled Scranton 1902. The exhibit, a cooperative project between Special Collections and the Lackawanna Historical Society, will provide a glimpse of Scranton at the turn-of-the-century. The exhibit will run from September 16 to December 20, 2002 and will be co-curated by Special Collections Librarian Michael Knies and Mary Ann Moran of the Lackawanna Historical Society. The exhibit is timed to coincide wit h the Centennial of the 1902 anthracite miner's strike.
- During autumn 2002, there will also be an exhibit at the Anthracite Heritage Museum about the miner's strike and a scholarly symposium at the Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke.
