Two Collections Donated to Library

Two outstanding collections have been added to the Weinberg Memorial Library. Rabbi Emeritus Milton Richman, Rabbi of Temple Hesed (previously the Madison Avenue Temple) from 1958 until 1989, has presented the Library with a collection that was a focus of his lifetime of book collecting. In addition to Judaic, the collection features many titles on Islam, Christianity and comparative religion. The collection reflects the rich, inquisitive mind of the Rabbi with titles on the sociology, poetry, ethics and architecture of religion.

The collection of Patrick Ryan, class of 1953 is a mini-library in itself, reflecting a full spectrum of subject interest from philosophy and theology to the literatures of various countries. This collection filled 108 cartons of books. Processing will begin in August.

Both collections are specially book plated. You can find titles in these collections by doing a keyword search in "Richman" or "Ryan."
