Weiss Hall - Center for Workforce Development

Construction is well underway of a nearly 90,000 square-foot center for workforce development, applied research and outreach, located on the 300 block of Madison Avenue. 

The four-story building will include specialized laboratories, training and education spaces and will be home to two academic departments, student health and wellness. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.

The University of Scranton this past weekend welcomed thousands of students and their families to campus, including 940-plus incoming first-year, 35-plus incoming transfer and about 250 incoming graduate students. The weekend was loaded with activities, including First-Year Move-In, the Class of 2029 Welcome Mass, meals, games, mixers and more. Monday, Aug. 25 is the first day of the fall term.

Class of 2029 Embraced by ‘Welcoming, Helpful, Happy’ Campus
The University of Scranton this past weekend welcomed thousands of students and their families to campus, including 940-plus incoming first-year, 35-plus incoming transfer and about 250 incoming graduate students. More than 1,225 incoming students this fall have joined The University of Scranton, including 940-plus first-year undergraduate students.
