National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The Institutional Research Office is administering the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) to University of Scranton freshman and seniors during the spring 2017 semester. Institutional Research has administered this widely-used survey five times since 2005 and considers it to be one of the most useful ways to gauge students’ engagement and satisfaction with their college experience.

NeighborWorks Of NEPA Partner With University Of Scranton For Light The Town!

On Saturday, April 22, Neighborworks of Northeastern Pennsylvania staff and University student volunteers will install free, solar-powered exterior security lights for homeowners in the Hill Section neighborhood of Scranton. Interested residents can request a light installation by contacting NeighborWorks by April 5. This special activity is part of the semi-annual "Street Sweep" neighborhood clean-up coordinated by the University's Student Government. Read more

Easter Basket Drive - Feb. 28 through April 3

Easter is the celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead. It is celebrated on Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, the last day of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday), and is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year. All members of The University of Scranton community are invited to make an Easter Basket for a child in need (ages infants to 12), wrap it in cellophane and drop it off in Campus Ministries' Center for Service & Social Justice, 205B DeNaples, by Monday April 3.

Death of Rev. Joseph Allan Panuska, S.J.

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you of the death of The University of Scranton’s 22nd President Joseph Allan Panuska, S.J., the longest-serving president in our history and the University’s first President Emeritus. Father Panuska passed away peacefully this afternoon in Philadelphia. He was 89.
