This award is presented each year to three staff members: one from the professional/paraprofessional staff, one from the clerical/technical staff and one from physical plant/public safety.

Please review the instructions for submitting nominations. If you know of any staff member who may be deserving of this award, please take the time to complete the form and return it to Barb Eagen in the Chew Office in the DeNaples Center by Monday, Dec. 5. Questions can be directed to members of the Staff Recognition & Excellence Awards Committee which includes Joe Wetherell, Lisa Bealla, Barbara Eagen, Diane Lang, Jordan Lynott and Alex Wasalinko.

Volunteers Needed for Christmas Day Breakfast

The Community Outreach Office and The Fresh Food Company will be working together once again to bring our third annual Community Christmas Day Breakfast to the Scranton community. We are seeking faculty and staff volunteers to assist on Christmas Day from 7:45 a.m. to 11 a.m., on DeNaples Center's third floor.  While this event is open to all to attend, we are asking that volunteers be University employees and their families only. As the event grows each year, we are seeking volunteers to act as committee chairs for:

  • table decorations
  • holiday cards
  • coat donations
  • toys
  • advertising to community churches, newspaper, etc

If you are interested in volunteering and/or chairing a committee, email Ellen Judge at judgee2@scranton.edu. Check out last year's event at Community Christmas Day Breakfast.
