Inauguration Events Continue Throughout the Week

In anticipation of the upcoming Inauguration of its 25th president, Kevin P. Quinn, S.J., The University of Scranton is hosting a series of on-campus events this week. The events continue this evening with an Inauguration Lecture by world-renowned human rights lawyer Rev. Frank Brennan, S.J., in the Rev. Bernard R. McIlhenny, S.J., Ballroom of the DeNaples Center at 7:30 p.m. The lecture is open to the public and free of charge.

Military Science Department Participates In Sept. 11 Memorial

On Sunday morning, Sept. 11, 60 members of the Royal Warrior Battalion assembled at McDade Park in Scranton to help the citizens of Scranton and Lackawanna County mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

Gift to the University Supports Scholarship and Lecture

Recent gifts of $100,000 from Mrs. Eleanor Volpe and $100,000 from her son, Charles J. Volpe, Jr., Esq., a 1982 graduate of The University of Scranton, generously increase their scholarship endowment established in the name of their husband and father, respectively.
