Prudential Supports University of Success Teen Mentoring Program

The Prudential Foundation presented a donation of $15,000 to support the University of Success at The University of Scranton, which provides mentoring and tutoring in academics and social and cultural opportunities designed to motivate students to complete high school successfully and to enroll in post-secondary education.

Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Present Check for Corcoran Scholarship

The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Lackawanna County recently presented a check to The University of Scranton for the Dr. John Corcoran Scholarship for Study in Ireland. This year’s scholarship winner is Kevin Dermody, a sophomore history and economics major from Elmhurst.

Fulbright Scholars at Scranton Share Cultures

Fulbright Scholars, who are among the most outstanding students in their countries selected to come to the United States to teach their native languages for one year, have served as teaching assistants in The University of Scranton’s in the Department of World Languages and Cultures for the 2010/2011 academic year.
