Alumni Making Headlines: June 2012

Long-time Georgetown men's basketball radio announcer Rich Chvotkin ’67 was recently inducted in the Washington Metropolitan Basketball Hall of Fame. Chvotkin has called Georgetown men's basketball games for 38 years. To read more, click here.

President Barack Obama has announced the nomination of Malachy Edward Mannion ’76 for a federal judgeship in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Mannion has been a United States Magistrate Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania since 2001, working out of courthouses in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. To read more, click here and here.

Donna M. Czerw ’77, G’82 has been promoted to First National Community Bank’s senior vice president, where she supervises the community banking operational functions for 21 branch locations and the Retail Training Department. To read more, click here

Rosemary Chromey ’91, who has served on the Temple Israel Board for many years and is a past chair of the Temple Hebrew School, is the incoming president of Temple Israel, Wilkes-Barre. To read more, click here.

Daniel M. Bagatta ’92, G’94 was honored by the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook at its 16th annual golf tournament. Bagatta is a partner in Cullen and Dykman LLP, one of the largest law firms on Long Island, working primarily in its banking department. To read more, click here.
