High-School-Students-Entrepreneurs-Day

Area high school students and their teachers can learn what it is like to be an entrepreneur at a free workshop at The University of Scranton on Dec. 18.

At the Youth Entrepreneurship Day workshop, entrepreneurs and educators will guide the students through the basic steps involved in developing a business plan in order to develop the students’ understanding of business, the economy, and the role of entrepreneurship in our society.

The day-long program begins at 9 a.m. and includes both breakfast and lunch. During the workshop, students will develop a business plan outline for their ideas. After returning to their classroom, teams of two to three students can further develop their outlines into a complete business plans for submission to the Entrepreneurship Challenge, a regional and statewide competition of EconomicsPennsylvania.
