The University of Scranton Sets Open House Dates

The University of Scranton will host two Open House events for prospective students and their families on Oct. 26 and Nov. 9, 2008.

Faculty from the Jesuit university’s College of Arts and Sciences, Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies will be on hand to answer questions regarding the university’s 59 undergraduate majors and 43 minors. Admissions counselors and financial aid representatives will also be available, along with members of student organizations, athletic teams and the university’s programs of excellence, such as the Honors Program, Faculty-Student Research Program, Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Program and Business Leadership Program.

Student-led tours will be conducted throughout the day and will include academic facilities, residence halls, dining halls, science labs, computer labs, and the campus television and radio studios.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues until noon. A brunch for students and their families will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., followed by a noon presentation with remarks from University of Scranton President Rev. Scott R. Pilarz, S.J., and Joseph Roback, associate vice president of admissions and undergraduate enrollment. The Open Houses will end with a 3 p.m. Mass open to all families.
