Scranton Ranked Among “Most Affordable Degrees”

Jul 25, 2016

The University of Scranton was ranked among the “25 Most Affordable Master’s of Marketing Degrees,” in a new web listing published by Affordable Schools. Scranton, ranked No. 22 in the nation, was the only college in Pennsylvania listed. Scranton and Xavier University (No. 19) were the only two Jesuit colleges ranked.

The ranking reviewed 241 colleges that offer master’s degrees that include a marketing component. Only U.S. schools with graduate tuition data in National Center for Education Statistics were ranked based on the out-of-state graduate tuition, among other factors.

The University is also listed on Affordable Schools’ rankings of the “25 Most Affordable Online Master’s of Accounting Degrees” (No. 18) and the “25 Most Affordable Master’s of Nurse Anesthesia Degrees” (No. 10).

Affordable Schools, according to its website, is a higher education resource intended to help adults “obtain a high quality education while avoiding huge college costs.”

The University of Scranton offers a MBA with a specialization in marketing. Scranton’s graduate and undergraduate business degree programs are accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Less than five percent of business colleges worldwide – 755 schools of business in 51 countries – hold AACSB accreditation, which is widely considered the gold standard mark of excellence for business schools.
