Physician to Discuss ‘Grey’s Reality: How TV is Totally Right About What it’s Like to Be a Doctor’ at Scranton

Zachary Shinar, M.D., an emergency physician at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California, will discuss “Grey’s Reality: How TV is Totally Right About What it’s Like to Be a Doctor” at The University of Scranton on Tuesday, May 3. The lecture, which is offered free of charge and open to the public, begins at 5:30 p.m. in room 334 of Loyola Science Center.

Dr. Shinar is a board certified emergency physician and part-time faculty member for the University of California at San Diego’s Emergency Medicine Residency. His area of research is resuscitation, specifically on advanced resuscitative techniques such as ECMO and LVAD.

Dr. Shinar earned his bachelor’s degree in bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his residency at University of California, Los Angeles.
