Mission and Ministry

Our Mission Statement

stained glass aug 13.jpgCampus Ministries serves the mission of The University of Scranton by making visible and effective our Roman Catholic and Jesuit identity with a spirit of inclusivity of all religious traditions. Inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the charism of St. Ignatius Loyola, we offer students opportunities to become women and men for and with others. These opportunities include ways for students to explore their relationship with God, express their faith in reflective service, work toward the transformation of unjust societal structures, and be immersed in cultures and experiences in developing countries of our world.

The division oversee the Campus Ministries, Community Service and Social Justice (CSSJ) and the Jesuit Center.  Each department focuses on a different aspect and group of people.
