To effectively teach in the sense of showing a practice requires involvement in that practice; practices opposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ violate the sharing of the Gospel to which the University of Scranton is committed. It would be wrong, therefore, for the University of Scranton to teach that extra-marital sexual intimacy is wrong by encouraging or permitting students to practice it to discover how it makes them miserable.
