CMPS 144L Spring 2026
Lab #1 (Jan. 29/30): Preliminaries and TimeOfDay

• Activity #1:

  For the purpose of keeping the work you do in CMPS 144 and CMPS 144L well-organized, you are strongly encouraged to create a folder/directory for each course and, within each of those (as the semester progresses), a separate folder for each distinct assignment. To start, choose (or create) a folder/directory on your machine in which you want to store your coursework. Within that folder, create folders called cmps144 and cmps144L (or something similar). Within the cmps144L folder, create a folder called lab1 (or something to that effect). That's where you should store whatever file(s) are relevant to today's third activity (see below). In anticipation of storing files relevant to the lab activities of the next few weeks, create lab2 and lab3 folders, too.

• Activity #3: TimeOfDay class

  Please submit your work (i.e., the file TimeOfDay.java) to the Brightspace dropbox for Lab #1.
