Member of the Technical Advisory Board of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Environmental Council 1980-1989.
Member of the Northeast Photography Club since 2002. Editor of the club newsletter since 2003.
Member of Church Council, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit, PA 1990-1996. Chair of the Finance and Budget Committee 1993-1996.
Serve as Merit Badge Councilor for the local Boy Scout Council for badges in bird study, botany, environmental science, insect study, nature, reptile study since 1980. Also served as a member of the Troop 160 (Clarks Summit, PA) Advisory Board 1990-1995.
I have given presentations on birds and nature subjects and have led numerous nature walks and hikes for a large number of regional societies.
