Dr. Sweeney’s research focuses cardiovascular control, and on the development of interactive physical models that facilitate student learning of the complexities of the cardiovascular system. His patented models enable students to separately explore and understand both cardiac and vascular function in order to develop a holistic understanding of integrative cardiovascular control.
He is the director of the physiology program.
