2017 Ryan O'Malley Annual Race - the ROAR 5K Run/Walk
The 5th and final year, in collaboration with the University of Scranton's Day of Giving
Saturday May 6, 2017, 7AM registration 9AM start
Founder's Green at The University of Scranton (next to Brennan Hall, corner of Linden Street and Madison Ave.)
Proceeds benefit "The Ryan T. O'Malley '99 Memorial Scholarship" at The University of Scranton

In commemoration of their loving son, Scranton residents Dr. John (Jack) '64 and Helene O'Malley with Ryan's siblings- John, Ed, Julie, Diane and Erin, established this scholarship fund which will enable computer science students committed to fitness and community service and who have limited resources to attend The University of Scranton.

Race check-in/number pick-up from 7:00-8:30 a.m.
Walk-in registration is available 7:00-8:30 a.m. though it should be noted that T-shirts are not guaranteed for walk-in registrants.
5K run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. and will be chip timed. Health fair, children's activities, basket raffles and free refreshments will be available.
Commemorative race t-shirts will be provided to all those who are registered for the 5K by April 20. There will be a free fun run for children 12 and under following the 5K.
Registration Prices: $20 for runners/walkers, $10 for University of Scranton students, and free admission for the children's fun run .
Discounted accomodations are available The Hilton Scranton: 570-343-3000, 100 Adams Ave., Scranton.
Race will be held rain or shine, no refunds.
