Professor Pedro Monteiro

Pedro Monteiro is an assistant professor in the Economics, Finance, and International Business department. He received both his Ph.D. in Finance and his Master of Science in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. He also received a Bachelor in Business degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Pedro’s dissertation topic was “The Impact of Buybacks on Bondholders and Long-Term Shareholders.” He has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder since 2018. Pedro also has experience as a portfolio manager and as an associate fixed income and derivatives trader.
