Gerard Dumancas, Ph.D.

 

Gerard Dumancas, Ph.D., was named Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department.  He obtained his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Oklahoma State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Louisiana State University at Alexandria and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Over the years, Gerard has generated more than $2 million in external research grants. Specifically, his core research interests involve the development of novel spectroscopic and computational tools with a wide array of applications in edible oils, food science, and biomedical research.
