Mission Statement

The mission of Scranton Inclusion is to build a stronger community by creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) students within The University of Scranton.  This student organization will establish opportunities for awareness and education of GLBTQ issues in the hopes of becoming a more unified community.  It has also been formed so that The University of Scranton can have a more inclusive environment and a better understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity.  A safe place and a voice will be provided for students in our community while holding true and dedicated to Catholic teaching and the Jesuit principle of cura personalis, care for the person as a unique individual.  The goal of Scranton Inclusion is to promote equality and respect for all students, staff, administrators, and faculty by putting an end to discrimination and harassment of GLBTQ persons and their allies.
