Dr Manetti earned her baccalaureate and master's degrees in Nursing from the University of Scranton. She completed PhD in Nursing from Widener University. She was selected as a NLN Jonas Nurse Scholar for her research in Nursing Education. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and practices part-time at PrimeMed. Prior to that, she practiced critical care nursing for 10 years. Her dissertation research focused on the clinical judgment development of nursing students. She has also conducted research using High Fidelity Simulation to promote Interprofessional Collaboration and Education.

She spearheaded the onset and development of the high fidelity simulation program at Marywood University in her position as Director of the Nursing Lab. In her current faculty position at the University of Scranton, she teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing students. In the undergraduate program, she teaches Health Assessment, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and serves as a clinical instructor in the medical-surgical clinical area. She teaches Family Health Promotion and Clinical Practicum in the graduate program.
