Clearances for Education Majors

Documents

Education majors need several clearances in order to complete observation hours and student teaching hours in a school. Below are the five documents that are required. Click on the links to begin the application process.

Act 114 - FBI Fingerprinting Clearance - use code 1KG6RT
Act 34 - Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
Act 151 - Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
Act 24 of 2011
Tuberculosis test - from private physician or Student Health Services

Note: Clearances remain valid for one year from the date on the document.

Resources

Once you have obtained your clearances, you will need to upload them to TaskStream, an electronic portfolio system.

If you need help, you can watch the video below.
