John A. Ruddy

John A. Ruddy, DPS, CFA, CPA is an Associate Professor in the Economics, Finance & International Business Department of The Arthur J. Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate level Finance courses in Financial Management, Fixed Income Markets and Portfolio Theory.  Dr. Ruddy has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA (1991) and an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. (1996).  He holds a Doctorate in Professional Studies with a focus in Finance from Pace University, New York City (2017).  In 2004, Dr. Ruddy began teaching at the University of Scranton as an adjunct professor. Dr. Ruddy has received three awards for his teaching performances.  In May 2014, he was the recipient of the University of Scranton’s Teacher of the Year award, as selected by the 2014 Graduating class.  He was also the recipient of the Kania School of Management Outstanding Professor of the Year award in 2013-2014 and 2016-2017.
