Writing Center Services for Faculty
Student Referral forms
Do you have a student who would benefit from our services? Send them our way! Fill out this form, and we will do the rest.
Request a classroom visit
Representatives from the Writing Center can come to your class and present a 10-15 minute overview of our mission and our services. We also address practical concerns, such as where to find us, how to make appointments, and what the appointment formats look like. Students are more likely to use support services after a classroom visit.
This is a great way to introduce your students to a resource that can benefit them. To request a classroom visit email corinne.nulton@scranton.edu.
Peer Review Day
Are you planning to offer a peer review day for an upcoming paper? If so, you can request that one or more of our writing consultants attend to offer feedback to your students and keep them on-task.
Workshops
The Writing Center Coordinator can offer discipline-specific workshops to help your students improve their writing skills.

- Strategies for Commenting on A Student’s Writing
- Graphic Organizers for Prewriting Essays
Events
You can request that writing consultants participate in your event to support the writing needs of your students. In the past, our consultants have been part of cover letter and resume workshops as well as workshops on crafting personal statements.
