Don’t Just Read It: Three Activities to Promote Deeper Reading Comprehension
In this workshop, you will participate in three different in-class reading activities that you can adapt for use in your courses, with both novice and more advanced readers. All three activities have students interact with a text in unfamiliar ways in order to bring attention to the kinds of critical thinking we want our students to be able to do.

Problem-Solve the Passive Class with Active Learning
In this workshop, we will active-learn our way toward solutions for the un-engaged class. Everyone will be able to share ideas, and all participants will leave with a packet of time-tested active learning strategies.
