Research and Teaching Interests: Dr. Roberts is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, & Sociology. He holds a B.A. in criminal justice from Stockton University (1998), an M.A. (1999) and a Ph.D. (2002) in criminal justice from Rutgers University, and an M.S.(2016) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Scranton. Dr. Roberts works several hours a week as an outpatient therapist at a community agency for children and teens who have experienced trauma and abuse. As a professor, he regularly teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice and Criminology and has previously taught courses on Drugs and Crime, Organized Crime, Corrections, Crime Prevention, and Globalization. Dr. Roberts conducts both qualitative and quantitative research and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He has also published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on topics relating to barroom aggression, intimate partner violence, and drug abuse/treatment.
Additional Information: Dr. Roberts’ personal interests include golf, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and traveling. He resides in Clarks Green, PA with his wife Jaime, son Luke and daughter Samantha.
