Dr. Tully joined the University of Scranton faculty in 2005.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, his master’s degree from the University of Toronto, and his Ph.D. from Marquette University.  His research interests are primarily in the field of ethics but include philosophy of religion and the intersection of faith and reason.  He has published articles in The Journal of Philosophical Research, The Journal of Business Ethics, The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, The Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal.  His book Refined Consequentialism: The Moral Theory of Richard A. McCormick was published by Peter Lang in 2005. He has served as a volunteer adjunct faculty member at The Commonwealth Medical College and as a member of the Ethics Committee at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.   Dr. Tully is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Jesuit tradition in education, a tradition to which he owes much.
