Mission Statement
The University of Scranton’s Office of Parent Relations, in collaboration with offices across the University, serves as a resource for parents and families as you support your students to take increasing responsibility for their journey in learning and personal growth. Our programs, events and communications strive to keep you informed, and to help you realize you are valued members of the University community.
To demonstrate the University’s Jesuit ideals as we interact with students and their families, namely cura personalis (care of the person in his or her own uniqueness) and the magis (a restless desire for excellence grounded in gratitude).
To serve as the first-stop inquiry center for parents and families.
To provide you with timely information about University services, programs and opportunities that could further your student’s academic success and well-being.
To facilitate your involvement in the life of the University especially in the areas of student recruitment and retention, student development, and university advancement.
