University Presents Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert Dec. 4

Toys and clothing collected at the University's Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert, set for Tuesday, Dec. 4, will be distributed to children of local families.

Performance Music at The University of Scranton will present its 12th annual Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert, featuring the University Concert Band & Choir and String Orchestra on Tuesday, Dec. 4. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the University’s Houlihan-McLean Center (Mulberry Street at Jefferson Avenue). Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

The event will include performances of a variety of holiday favorites and includes an audience Christmas caroling sing-along. (Lyric sheets will be provided.) 

All who attend the concert are asked to bring a new toy or article of children’s clothing, or a monetary donation.  The collection will benefit children of local families in need this holiday season through collaboration with United Neighborhood Center’s Project Hope.
