Safe Zone Workshops for Students

The Jane Kopas Women's Center now offers Safe Zone Training Workshops! The purpose of Safe Zone training is to increase a comfort level in and respect for addressing concepts and language related to those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and allies (LGBTIQA+).

Sessions for students in fall 2017 will occur at the following times: Wednesday, Sept. 27, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (TDC 405) Tuesday, Oct. 17, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (TDC 405) Thursday, Nov. 16, 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. (TDC 405).

Please note: workshops are capped at 18, and those with fewer than eight registered participants may be cancelled due to the interactive nature of the workshop. If that is the case, you will be emailed to reschedule. For any additional information or questions, please contact If you wish to request a training for a specific group, team, club, or organization, we can certainly do that!
