Throughout the 2013 fall semester, The Leahy Community Health and Family Center's volunteers have been working hard to complete 1,888 service hours in correspondence with the University's 125th commencement celebration, 1,888 volunteer hours to commemorate the year in which the University of Scranton was founded by Rev. William O’Hara.
The students chose to call this event the 1888 Leahy Challenge so they can each challenge their ignatius spirit in going above and beyond to serve their community over the course of the semester.  They have just reached the 1,000 hour mark!
