The University of Scranton Kania School of Management (SOM) and its Business Club will host the annual Fall Recruiting EXPO on Thursday, September 26, in the Rev. Bernard R. McIlhenny, S.J., Ballroom, in The DeNaples Center. The goal of the Fall Recruiting EXPO is to provide a forum for our undergraduate and graduate business students to make contact with leading employers regarding internship and full-time employment opportunities.
The EXPO provides the participating recruiters with a student population of various ages, majors, geographic interests, and career aspirations. The event also offers the recruiting firms a chance to interact with the student on a more personal basis. The annual dinner, following the EXPO, welcomes students, recruiters, faculty, staff, and administration of the University to network in a more informal environment. University alumni and friends are encouraged to participate as an Employer either by asking their company’s recruiting offices to send a representative to attend, or by attending as their company’s representative.
The day kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with an open career fair. The afternoon schedule includes time for one-on-one meetings with students for companies who also wish to interview candidates of interest. The day concludes with the annual reception and dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. This year’s keynote speaker is Daniel Seddiqui, founder of Living the Map and author of 50 Jobs in 50 States.
