Ever wonder how much flex is left on your Royal Card? Or how you might make a deposit on your card in a hurry? A solution has arrived! The University has unveiled its new Blackboard Mobile Transact App, making your Royal Card stored value accounts just a few clicks away on your smartphone.
The new Blackboard Mobile Transact App – available for download at the iTunes App Store; an Android app will arrive at a later date – allows users to monitor many of your Royal Card stored value accounts, including Royal Card Debit and Dining Flex. For faculty and staff, the mobile app also allows users to monitor their Employee Dining Debit.
Additionally, users can view account balances, make deposits, view transaction history, and report your Royal Card lost via an iPhone.
Ron Skutnick, director of network infrastructure at Scranton, calls the new Blackboard app and eAccounts website a “big facelift” over the previous third-party platform. “This new site’s user interface is quite slick compared to the old one,” he added.
In addition to aesthetics, there is another advantage to the new app, according to Skutnick. With this new app, the entire Royal Card system and suite of services is now provided by Blackboard, providing seamless integration and limiting potential issues moving forward.
To download the Blackboard Mobile Transact App, visit the iTunes App Store and search for “Blackboard Transact Mobile.” Once the Blackboard app is downloaded, launch the app and search for “The University of Scranton,” which will save your location for future use.
