First Friday Presents 'College Night' April 5

First Friday Scranton will present "College Night" on Friday, April 5, with art exhibits, live music and more, featuring students artists and performance groups. Scranton students are invited to meet their fellow students and Scranton neighbors. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at participating venues throughout downtown Scranton. Check out for a venue map and schedule of events.

Among the groups from The University of Scranton participating are:

  • Urban Beats (Northern Light on Spruce Street from 6 to 9 p.m.)
  • Men and Women for Octaves (The Mall at Steamtown on Lackawanna Avenue from 8 to 9 p.m.)
  • WUSR (The Mall at Steamtown on Lackawanna Avenue from 8 to 9 p.m.)

In addition, The Hope Horn Gallery will host a reception for its exhibit “Imagination and Spirituality: Public Sculpture on The University of Scranton Commons" on April 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. as part of First Friday. The reception will be held at the gallery in Hyland Hall. An exhibit lecture by Darlene Miller-Lanning, Ph.D., director of The Hope Horn Gallery, will take place at 5 p.m. in Brennan Hall.
